The Acer TravelMate Timeline 8573 and 8473 laptops use the magnesium-aluminum enclosure designed, which has a second generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors, a 14-inch (8473) or a 15.6-inch (8573) display with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 750GB hard drive or 128GB SSD, Intel HD Graphics 3000 or Nvidia graphics card with NVIDIA Optimus technology, and support for DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive, a 1.3 MP webcam, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, optional 3G connectivity, Gigabit Ethernet, one USB 3.0 port, HDMI and VGA outputs, a fingerprint reader, multi-in-1 card reader, and so on.
